Sober Curious Group

The new year invites reflection, Dry Januarys, and renewed motivation for change.

So it’s a great time to consider your alcohol use.

This new virtual group may be a supportive next step.

This is not a sobriety group, about labels, rules, or quitting forever.

It’s a curious, compassionate space for people who are wondering about their relationship with alcohol, and what might be possible with more awareness, choice, and self-connection.

Many people are asking:

Why do I drink when I don’t actually want to?

What am I soothing, avoiding, or trying to feel?

How do I know if I have a “drinking problem?”

Who am I, and how do I relate, when alcohol isn’t in the room?

What does “moderation,” “alcoholism,” “taking a break,” or “sober curious” even mean for me?

This therapist-led group offers a non-pathologizing, shame-free container to explore those questions together.

In this group, participants will:

Gently examine personal drinking patterns without pressure to change

Explore the emotional and relational, roles alcohol plays

Build emotional literacy and self-trust

Practice mindful communication and honest self-reflection

Connect with others navigating similar questions without comparison or hierarchy

This group is ideal for those who are:

“Sober curious” - wanting to explore their relationship with alcohol, how to gauge impacts of use and what to do about it

Taking a break from drinking or re-evaluating moderation

Interested in deeper self-awareness and emotional intimacy

Seeking community around conscious living

Please reach out for details, dates, and referral information.
